Scan with Samsung C480W over network from Linux Mint, Windows 10

open /etc/sane.d/xerox_mfp.conf

Add this(replace your.printer.ip with actual address of printer):

#Samsung C480 Series
tcp your.printer.ip

Now start the standard scanning app and test if it works

If not, try this:

On Windows 10, no extra drivers are needed. However, just adding the printer from the list of detected devices fails(it says no drivers found on device info).
Instead, add the printer using its ip address. In this case both network printing and scanning work right away.
